Taylor Swift Indie Controversy

Image
Once again, I thought I would add my opinion to something nobody asked for. Taylor Swift received a lot of controversy for 'cosplaying' as an indie/folk musician and as an Indie kid, I feel like I should weigh in upon the matter.  First of all, I have to give my credentials to be considered an Indie kid and having a legitimate opinion. I cried when I saw Liam Gallagher perform Live Forever, I drink dark fruits and I have said the phrase 'I listened to them before they were famous' more times than I could possibly imagine. Although I have strayed away from my roots during my years at university, indie rock is still my genre of music, the thing I know the best and the thing I have the biggest opinion of.  Taylor got some hate for cosplaying as indie in this album and I see it. First, of all, let's talk about the album. For me it's nothing too special, it is obviously very well produced and has some nice meaningful lyrics. Aaron Dessner from The National helped wi...

2020 Western Conference

1. Los Angeles Lakers 2. Los Angeles Clippers 3. Denver Nuggets 4. Dallas Mavericks 5. Portland Trail Blazers  6. Phoenix Suns 7. Utah Jazz  8. Houston Rockets  9. Golden State Warriors 10. Minnesota Timberwolves 11. Memphis Grizzlies  12. New Orleans Pelicans 13. San Antoinio Spurs 14. Sacramento Kings 15. Oklohma City Thunder 1. Los Angeles Lakers Imagine the champions of last year who only lost 5 games in the playoffs last year, improving their bench and tying down their two best players to big-money deals. That is the case in yellow and gold. Two sixth man of the year candidates in Harrell and Schroder joined and Marc Gasol adds veteran experience. They are the favorites for a reason and if any team wants to compete, they are going to have to be on top of their game.  2. Los Angeles Clippers  Will we finally get the battle of LA in the playoffs? As I mentioned before, I am a Raptors fan so seeing Kawhi and Ma Fuzzy Chef on the same team together will hu...

2020 Eastern Conference

After completely nailing my predictions, as in getting everything wrong, I am back to try and get things a bit closer but still completely miss all my predictions and look like a fool. I will predict the regular season and talk through explaining my decisions. Hopefully, if these blogs do well then we can get the playoffs wrong again.  1. Milwaukee Bucks  2. Brooklyn Nets  3.  Miami Heat       4.  Boston Celtics 5. Philadelphia 76ers 6. Toronto Raptors 7. Atlanta Hawks  8.  Indiana Pacers 9.  Washington Wizards 10. Orlando Magic  11. Chicago Bulls  12. Detroit Pistons  13. Charlotte Hornets 14. New York Knicks   15. Cleveland Cavaliers  1. Milwaukee Bucks  This is probably the easiest choice of the lot. This is a team who has finished comfortably first in the last two seasons and they improved their team by bringing in an all-defensive calibre player in J'rue Holiday and some good wing players in T...
