NBA Western Conference predictions

Carrying on from my predictions of the East, in this blog, you will find the predictions for the West and finally who will win it all. Stay tuned and argue if you really think you know more than this gospel. NBA Western Conference  (1) Lakers vs (8) Blazers (2) Clippers vs (7) Mavericks (3) Nuggets vs (6) Jazz (4) Rockets vs (5) Thunder (1) Lakers vs (8) Blazers Lakers have been the favorite for the chip after the AD trade and they will be a handful for any time. We know what we are going to get from Lebron and AD but their chances rely heavily on the productions of the other members of the squad. Kuzma, Green, and Waiters will have to offer good production to back up the big two. The Blazers have been in playoff mode since the season restart and that could be positive or a negative. They have no rust to shake off but they could be knackered after the intensity of games that they have been involved in. CJ and Dame with Carmelo will be hard to slow down but I have to give it t...

NBA Eastern playoff predictions

With the restart looming and a relative novice basketball fan, I thought there was nothing better and less controversial given an opinion that no one in their right sense of mind asked for. Obviously, I have taken current seedings and they may change but I don't care. I am taking the current standings as they are.  Eastern Conference (1) Bucks vs. (8) Magic (2) Raptors vs. (7) Nets (3) Celtics vs. (6) 76ers (4) Heat vs. (5) Pacers Eastern Conference First Round (1) Bucks vs (8) Magic I can only really see this going one way unless the whole magic team is on absolute fire the whole series long. The Bucks of the last two years have been imperious and whoever will stop them, have to deal with the Giannis situation. An 87" wingspan at 6"11 and with decent handle and playmaking abilities, when this man gets going he has terrifically hard to stop. Coupled with a supporting task including Brook Lopez and Khris Middleton, the Bucks have simply too much for this Magic team. Bucks ...

Detective Pikachu Review

Detective Pikachu Review Rating: ★★★★★ (2.5) Detective Pikachu is a new film in the Pokemon universe and is another attempt at a video game universe I assume. The film stars Ryan Reynolds and Justice Smith and is a generally well-rounded fun film. The CGI in my eyes is quite beautiful and there are more upsides than downsides in this film. The characters in this film are okay and they add partly to the storyline. The Pokemon are very cute and another reminder of the wonders of the CGI. Justice Smith is a decent lead to this film and blends well with Ryan Reynolds. The acting as a whole is pretty bland, whether that be due to a bad script or bad acting. I personally didn't like the Pikachu twist but it wasn't awful which for a video game movie is incredibly generous. I was happy to see Bill Nighy in this role and then the twist when he became the villain, it hurt me. Bill is my uncle from another time and I can't remember the last time he played a villain. I think the M...
