Premier League 2022-23 predictions

Have you had enough of endless opinions on the Premier League, well get ready for one more delicious and tasty predictions. I am writing this a couple of days before the season starts so any new transfers in or out which may change the league, I cannot talk about. Also injuries and form are obviously two massive components and unfortunately I cannot read the future. If every team loses their best player, they’re gonna be bad. There is no point me pointing that out for every team it is just god dam obvious.  1. Man City . Imagine the premier league winners improving their team by adding one of the most sought after young strikers and England star of the Euros. That is what happened with City buying Haaland and Phillips. They are a bit weak in some areas but their 18 man squad is probably the best in Europe. Adjusting to life with Haaland could be difficult as Man City haven’t played with a proper number nine since Aguero. Aguero and Haaland are both lethal finishers but that is pr...

OT Rules in Sports and its stupidity

Whilst I was watching the Superbowl and Joe Burrow's potential game-tying drive, it got me thinking about the absurdity of NFL overtime. For the uneducated, NFL games are decided by a coin toss and the winner decides if they want to receive the ball. A coin flip can decide your whole season, all the blood sweat and tears being poured in for a 50/50 chance. I wanted to take a quick look at a few other sports I like and see how the deciders of these lineup. American Football The regular season OT stats are not too absurd. Out of 163 games, 52.8 percent of the team receiving the ball. That's a slight advantage but will not be dissimilar to other sports. The real disparity and problem lies in the playoff statistics. Teams under the current OT rules who have won the coin toss are 10-1 and 7 of those ten teams have scored on the opening drive. In the biggest occasion of the NFL, a 50/50 chance decides it. In Bills v Chiefs, Josh Allen and Pat Mahomes showdown was ended without Allen ...

Phase 4 tierlist

Im going to whizz through these as this has already taken me too much time and effort.  S: Spiderman No Way Home. An Almost perfect film with the only drawback being the slow nature of the first half. Willem Dafo is fucking amazing and the chemistry of the Spidermen is amazing and makes me wanting a Spiderman 4 and an Amazing Spiderman 3. I thought Endgame would be the best audience I would be apart of but this film came very close. Everything I wanted and more and completely exceeded my expectation.  A: Loki. Probably the best of the tv shows so far and it was a thrill from start to finish. Loki and Morbius were great together and Tom Hiddleston killed it as Loki. They managed after Endgame to get Loki back to his character development throughout the years. Introducing Kang and Lady Loki were great ideas and well executed. Also saw the debut of Frog Thor one of the greatest Marvel characters and can't wait to see him have his own solo series which is inevitably coming....

Phase 3 tierlist

S: Avengers: Infinity War. Honestly, great film. Probably the finest film of the MCU. Thanos is one of the best villains, raising serious points although perhaps genocide on half of the universe wouldn't be the best idea. I even enjoy the side quest with Rocket and Thor although Eitri creeps me out. Thor's entrance is fucking epic and gets me pumped and gives me goosebumps every time I see it. However, my favorite moment in this comes when Thanos gets a moon on Titan and breaks it up and sends it at Iron Man. There is little reaction and a bewildered look on Tony's face and that says it all, he's just a man and he has a fucking moon hurtling towards him. Its one of the greatest cliffhangers off all time and is a defining comic book film, and one of the best in the MCU.  Thor: Ragnarok. I'm a Taika Waititi fan boy. A movie with Taika's comedy and weirdness with Marvel's multi million pound pursestrings, has all the makings of a sure-fire hit. However, you c...

Phase 2 tierlist

S: Guardians of the Galaxy. Another great and funny film in the MCU. By far the weirdest film of the MCU so far and this movie only demonstrated that Marvel could make anything with any property and it would make a billion. All of the Guardians are great and Michael Rooker is really great in this. I think this film so far in the universe is the best combination and versions of the characters. Rocket isn't too much of a jackass and Drax is funny whilst having some seriousness and not just comic relief. The only negatives are that Ronan is a pretty underwhelming villain and quite tedious and I have no care for Xandar and not bothered with the imminent destruction. Otherwise wholly enjoyable.  Captain America: The Winter Solider. One of the biggest improvements in sequel. A perfect change to the new and more interesting Captain America. Cap and Black Widow are a match made in heaven and this is more of a comic book movie. It is a spy thriller trapped inside comic book character...

Phase 1 MCU tierlist

Image
I am doing a tier list for the MCU films. As a nerd growing up and being teased for it, there is nothing better then the biggest films of all time being based on a comic books that I have read as a kid. Obviously there are fucking hundreds and thousands of these films so I have split them up in to different parts. The natural order is Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3.  A: Avengers. This was one of the main films that really had to be good. A team up of a shared universe was something that had not really been done before. Obviously every knows about the third act and the big laser firing into the sky but this film is genuinely funny. Loki's plan in the film is dumb but works as a villain and there are some iconic moments in this. The 360 of the Avengers is great and Banner turning into Hulk and punching the Chitauri whale. The only negative of the main characters is how dirty they did Hawkeye in the film and that is a trend that continues. It is bordering on S but due to the fact of the qu...

= Ed Sheeran album review

Image
Ed Sheeran = review  Rating: ★★★★★ (1) My opinion on Ed Sheeran is low, he is somehow the second most streamed artist of the decade even though he sticks to his formula and releases mediocrity. He is an excellent songwriter and is popular beyond belief which gains my respect but somehow I never understand his success and perhaps never will.  A simple drumming beat to begin the album but I have heard this song a million times from every singer songwriter. It's somehow popular with nothing at all spectacular and very ordinary, the Ed Sheeran special.  The lyrics are about the birth of the son, however even this life changing event and the miracles of human life, the song is still fucking boring and during the 1st minute of the song I wanted to skip it and thus the whole album.  Shivers has 200 million streams but contains a piano loop that could be done by a 12 year old. It is the Ed Sheeran standards of recent years. Basic, catchy beats at the background and Ed ...
